Unlike traditional mattress companies, we don’t have a high mark-up on our products. We choose not to waste money on large showrooms full of pushy salespeople on big commissions. Instead, we sell our mattress directly online and pass the savings onto you. We offer fast and free delivery directly to your doorstep.
Pretty simple! We have three interchangeable layers that you can choose from depending on your sleeping style and overall preference for firmness.
- Put the G-7 memory foam layer (colour blue) on top for a medium level of firmness. This lets your body sink a little by distributing weight without pushing against pressure points.
- Place the ECO-Tex foam (colour white) on top for the medium-firm layer. You get cuddle time for your back while this layer studies and contours to your body shape.
- The Ergonomic HD Breathable Support Layer (colour yellow) should go on top if you prefer a firm mattress. This provides your back optimum stability throughout the night.
Your body naturally loses moisture overnight depending on your sleeping conditions – it can increase easily with temperature, or even with the thickness of your blankets. Most mattresses will trap this moisture into itself, cultivate bacteria, and invite allergens to your bed. Our fast-drying waterproof inner cover prevents liquids and oils from seeping further into your mattress – giving you excellent protection against dust mites.
Every Ecosa mattress is 25.4cm (10 inch) high. The length and width of the mattress adhere to standard Australian dimensions, as listed below:

King Single - 107 x 203 cm
Double - 138 x 188 cm

The Ecosa cover is machine-washable. Please make sure to use water at room temperature. If using a dryer to dry the item, avoid high heat, as this can melt, shrink or deform the fabric.
The Ecosa Mattress is designed to work on any firm, flat surface. It can be placed on the floor, a slatted bed frame or a spring box. All our sizes are suited to Australian Standards. If your bed base is not made up to Australian Standards, please refer to the dimensions of Ecosa mattress, sizes with a difference of 3cm will still fit.
Our top layer is the gel-infused memory foam, this layer is 3cm.
The next layer is our proprietary Eco-Tex Foam, made using cell technology, this layer is 4cm.
Our base layer is a high-density, plant-based polyurethane with ergonomic grooves. This layer is 17cm.
Please note a slight variance in height is normal with foam mattresses due to the nature of the foam.

Ecosa has taken measured to reduce the heat that is often associated with the foam mattresses. The pin-core holes design in our Eco-Tex foam allows for better air circulation with all the layers pierced through and connected via air tunnel system. Our memory foam layer is infused with gel beads with create little air pockets to promote airflow and dissipate heat.
Unfortunately, it will not re-compress back into the box once you release it from the package.
Nope. The Ecosa mattress is not required to be flipped up side down nor rotate. Having said that, we do offer adjustable firmness so you may wish to flip the internal layers to change the feel.
Can I use an electric blanket or heating pad? Is it safe?

Yes, you may use an electric blanket or heating pad on the Ecosa mattress. Just remember to always follow the safety instructions for the electric blanket. Additionally, each mattress has a fire-resistant barrier made with a woven silica sock (non-chemical flame retardant). In the event of a fire, this sock melts itself to prevent oxygen from fueling it.
You sure can!
Just remember that you need to ensure the environment is suitable for the mattress as humidity, condensation, and moisture can cause mould to develop.
To avoid this, simply ensure you stand the mattress regularly to breathe. You can also opt to air out and vacuum the area beneath the mattress regularly. Please note Ecosa will not accept returns or warranty claims for mould or mould-related defects.
There is no need to keep any of the boxes or packaging. If a return is required the charity will collect the mattress at full size as long as it is in clean condition with no rips, tears or stains.
We suggest no longer than 6-8 weeks.
The trial period does begin from the date of delivery so if you know there will be a delay in the opening and use of the mattress, you may wish to select a later dispatch date at checkout.
All you need to do is enter your address at checkout and select a dispatch date. From your selected date, it can take between 1-7 business days for the mattress to arrive.
Unfortunately, we are not able to dispose of your old mattress. We recommend donating your mattress to the Salvation Army if it is in great condition or organise with your local council to have it picked up and disposed of. Another great solution is to contact mattress recycling centres which can be found nationwide - your mattress can then be recycled into useful products like underlay.
The mattress cannot be put back into the box once unpacked, unfortunately.
It is delivered boxed for easy transport and unpacking. Once opened, the mattress cannot be squashed back into a box.

Unfortunately not, the courier services have a front door + ground floor policy.
They are not permitted to carry the item upstairs as they would not be covered by their employers OH&S guidelines.
Should your front door be above ground floor level, please ensure someone is available to assist you in moving the box if you are unable to do so yourself.

What is the difference between foam and spring mattresses?

In comparison to a spring mattress, we use a 3-layer foam construction for the Ecosa mattress. It consists of an open-cell foam, gel memory foam, and ergonomic support foam. These all work together to distribute body weight evenly – like having billions of little springs supporting you. Pressure points are significantly reduced up to 80%, which only memory foam can provide. Spring mattresses usually begin to sag after 1-2 years. They lose 16% of their support in the first year alone. Overall, our mattress offers better quality materials, greater body support, and longer-lasting durability.
We hope it does!
Our pillow has an ergonomic design to support your neck and head. This can help alleviate neck pain. It has been designed with an adjustable feature so you can change the height of the pillow to suit your body size and sleep style by removing or adding pads as required.
We suggest
Small-Medium body builds: use the pillow only.
Medium-Large body builds: use the pillow plus one pad layer.
Large body builds: use the pillow plus two pad layers.
